You recently did the takeoff for me on a project. You sent me all of the vertical views as well as the 3D views. Yesterday, I went in to be interviewed by the GC for a scope and bid review. The GC showed me the numbers of one of my competitors…who was cheaper than me on the tile quote. I showed the GC my work product…ie…the colored takeoff printouts, the vertical views, and the 3D views. After that, the GC was convinced my takeoff and numbers were more reliable. It was obvious to the GC how much time, effort, work, and attention to detail went into the takeoff and my subsequent bid.  Here's the news I wanted to share with you. This afternoon, I received the Notice of Award from GC…even though my bid was higher.  My success on this project is directly connected to the quality of takeoff product you provided me with. In other words, it was very easy for me to justify my numbers when I spread everything out on their conference table and could show them in explicit detail exactly where all of my numbers came from and how I arrived at my total.
